If you are new to the Rosebery area of Sydney and are looking for a dentist in Erskineville, you are going to want to get know a bit about the people treating you before you commit to becoming a regular at your chosen dental clinic. Here at Healthy Smile Centre, a popular dentist in Erskineville, we are proud to have Dr Simon Lee as our principal dental surgeon and Vano Raveindiran as our oral health therapist. They are looking forward to helping you with your problems and getting to know you. But first, they’d like you to get to know them by reading about them in this blog.
Let’s meet Simon first
Simon is a Sydneysider, born and bred in the Mascot/Rosebery area, so he really is a local dentist in Erskineville. Simon went to Sydney Grammar School before getting a bachelor’s degree in medical science at the University of New South Wales, followed by a bachelor’s degree in dentistry at the University of Sydney.
Before he came to Healthy Smile Centre, Simon worked as a dentist in various practices around Sydney and also in Canberra. Alongside his work at Healthy Smile Centre, Simon is also an instructor in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics. He also mentors new dentists.
Simon is all about holistic dentistry. He sees the teeth and mouth as part of the whole body and treats them as such, placing great importance on the health of the airways, bodily posture and sleeping habits.
And now, it’s time to meet Vano Raveindiran
Vano has a bachelor’s degree in oral health from the University of Sydney. She has previously worked in public hospitals and private clinics, as well as a paediatric practice. Your children might well be treated by Vano, who is qualified to provide general dental treatments to children up to the age of 18. As a dental hygienist, Vano offers cleanings, fissure sealants, fluoride treatments, as well as dental and dietary advice. Vano also provides supervision for final year oral hygiene students at the University of Sydney.
Both Simon and Vano are registered with the AHPRA Dental Board.
